Vasiliki lives and works in the Bay Area, exploring the contradictions, tensions, and acts of solidarity in the political and social climate around her. She works in abstract conceptual art, mostly using oil paint on canvas, but also experiments with other materials, including cardboard, found papers and melted tin. She is interested in experimental portraiture, in intimate and vulnerable social situations, and explores the processes of social and corporeal resistance to systems of power and oppression.
